Google makes it easy to find 'links and files' in cha

 Internet search engine giant Google has launched a new chat feature that will make it easier for users to search for specific contents using filters, and with this new function, Google Chat will allow users to find files and links more easily.

For example, users will be able to search for a keyword they may remember from a message or use a filter to look at all the files in a particular conversation, moreover, the company is also working on updating its visual search interface "to provide a more balanced presentation of search results," Google said. Also, results will now include message content, making it easier to find the exact content they're looking for.

Google will first make this feature available on Android, which iOS and Web will follow by the end of July 2021, and enabling this search in Google Chat will not require any administrative control. Also, there will be no end user setting for this feature.

Google said: “When you search in Google Chat on mobile, you can refine your search results by using the search filter segments below the search box.” Google Chat search support will be available to all Google Workspace users and personal accounts, according to a report by 9to5Google.
