A recent report by Canalys Analytics revealed that the global 5G smartphone market is witnessing a decline in 2020, followed by a recovery in 2021, and the report also indicates that while the total amount of smartphones is expected to decrease by 10.7% in 2020 compared to 2019, it is expected To see a 9.9% recovery in 2021 with the market expected to exceed 1.3 billion units.

In 2020, 5G smartphone shipments worldwide are expected to reach 278 million, and Canalys believes that the rapid transformation of 5G smartphones in China is a critical factor behind the huge 5G smartphone shipments this year.
It is said that North America and Europe are following this, making it the three largest prospective 5G smartphone markets in the world. The economies of scale provided by the Chinese market will allow sellers to launch affordable 5G smartphones in other countries, even if the 5G infrastructure in those markets is not completely ready. .

It is expected that by 2021, approximately 60% of China’s 5G smartphone shipments will be cheaper than $ 400, while China's 5G penetration will reach 83% in the next 12 months, says Shengtao Jin, a Canalys analyst.
