Fortnite 120 fps is possible on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Fortnite will now be able to run at 120 frames per second on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, as the game will already receive next-generation benefits such as 4K at 60 fps and dynamic visuals upon launch of new consoles, but Epic is now updating the free version of the game. To get more out of your hardware.
According to "the verge", "120FPS mode" can be enabled in the video settings in Fortnite, but like other performance modes in console games, it comes with some caveats, as playing 120fps will determine the resolution of the PS5 and Xbox Series X to 1440 pixels instead of the usual 4K, while reducing some graphic settings like shadows, post-processing, and broadcast distances.
Perhaps in the slightly less powerful S Series, 120fps limits resolution to 1080p while reducing graphic settings like shadows, and unlike Series X and PS5, playback at 120fps also requires volume drag to be completely disabled.
Epic explained that at 120 fps turned off, the S-Series will now default to 1200p instead of 1080p for all game modes.
Epic recently boosted Fortnite's performance with an update focused on making the game work better on older PCs, but "120 FPS Mode" is more fun than anything necessary to continue enjoying the game.
Epic also says 120fps is only available on 120Hz screens, so you might not be able to enjoy it without a new TV or screen, and for those who can enable it, 120 FPS mode is now available in Fortnite.
